Looking forward to another week of engaging discussions and shared learning. See you on the forum!

In retainer talks, I’ve had the best luck with a tiny chairside handout that lives in the case: “nightly until it’s loose for 7 mornings, then every other night; if it ever feels tight, go back to nightly.” , full-page sheets get lost, so we add a Sharpie checkbox on the card — works well for some of my geriatric patients after hands-on training boosted their confidence. @NoraM do you use case cards or lean on text reminders instead?

I use a QR sticker in the case to a ‘nightly 6–8 weeks’ page; @DrLee, bruxers stay nightly longer.

I staple a mini ‘wear tracker’ to the chairside handout; teens log 6 weeks, then reassess — @DrLee, ok for bruxers longer?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

Quick tip from my chair: I have patients do a “three‑finger seat test” each morning — if it drops fully with light pressure for 7 straight days, we switch to alternating nights; bruxers stay on sleep‑time wear longer per @DrLee. If it fights back, it hasn’t graduated yet.

When these ‘real-time’ postings hit, I reply with one line on my stack (3Shape Implant Studio + exocad splint) and my W‑2 vs 1099 preference — cuts the back‑and‑forth and gets same‑day calls. Also ask up front who covers model shipping/labels and if weekend coverage is baked in; those details get buried fast.
