Early post-ortho relapse culprit

Which tissue stays ‘springy’ for months after brackets come off and makes nightly retainer wear non-negotiable? I’m thinking of the supracrestal fibers — reorganizing for about 3–4 months — so I coach at least 12 months of nightly wear to lock in alignment.

Same here — our KeyOrtho IBT trays cut bond time by about the same “12 minutes,” and patients say cheeks settle by day 5; I also cinch back the 0.014 CuNiTi about 2 mm with a distal end bender so the tail doesn’t creep and poke (, those pokes). Small caveat: if the tray feels too floppy, I warm it 3–4 seconds before peel to avoid lifting on 2–2 — saw that tip here: https://keystoneindustries.com/product/keyortho-ibt/. Anyone else getting less flash around those low-profile tie-wings?

And > posted in real-time I set push alerts and call within 10–15 minutes; that’s how I’ve snagged same-week private practice slots from remote roles as a hygienist. Small caveat: high commissions can mean hard sells — ask for the exact day rate and cancellation policy before you commit.
